What makes 85 mm entrance door different
A strong entrance
Thanks to the multi-chamber design, the 85 mm installation depth and a door threshold with a thermal-break insert, thermal insulation has been improved significantly, reaching Uf = 1.2 W/m²K. The new profiles can take glazing units and infill panels up to 50 mm thick.
Easy in and out
The low 20 mm door threshold meets the requirements for barrier-free construction and makes walking in and out easy.
Overlay panel version
Thanks to a new special profile designed for exterior doors with overlay panels that cover the face of the sash, the new IDEAL 7000 entrance doors meet the high aesthetic demands of architects.
The new exterior-door solution was developed together with all leading infill-panel manufacturers. Because the installation depth of the new sash version is reduced by 4 mm to 81 mm, all popular infill panels can be used without changing gaskets at the system's standard 85 mm profile depth.
Easy rainwater drainage
Specially shaped threshold feet connect to the system's add-on profiles, such as extensions. A wide aluminum drip edge carries water away to the outside.
